AQUAGEL is a fully biodegradable gel consisting of 97,85% water, 0,15% aluminium sulphate and 2% cellulose gum with a minimum purity of 99,5%. It is made from natural ingredients and is harmless to people and animals. The primary use of AQUAGEL is to provide water to a plant after its initial insertion into the ground and approximately for the following three months. The mechanism for the provision of the water is that the gel portion of the AQUAGEL is degraded by natural biological activity which is normally occurring in the ground. The water is then released and becomes available for use by the plant or plants. The degraded portion of the gel being chemically derived from cellulose is used by the soil as a mulch for further water retention properties, in a similar mechanism to that of compost.
