For weddings, matric farewells, advertising, photoshoot props, displays, theatre drop off, any extraordinary event in your life, this growing collection of old cars will enable your fantasies to materialise and your glimpses of the dreamy past to manifest. Even baby's first ride home is something they look forward to. So why not dress up 30's, 40's or 50's style for your event just to have a laugh.
Like the driver they are not in any rush to get there. We'll all get there in the end it's just a matter of how we choose to approach the destination and how much fun we are willing to inflict upon ourselves whilst enjoying the er... in this case not so proverbial ... ride.
The old cars prefer to be reserved prior to the event so that they can relax and ponder the journey ahead. Let's face it they have been doing this for many years and have been very successful to date. We mere mortals are not going to survive these oldtimers, all we can do is cherish and seize those moments that present themselves in our lives and afford us an opportunity to take a ride in something nostalgic and representative of this era in human history -

They don't like to travel far for your function and so we have agreed to restrict our escapades within KwaZulu-Natal and specifically Durban to Pietermaritzburg metrpolitam region concentrating on the Upper Highway area which includes Hillcrest, Kloof and Waterfall.

Please note that these cars are chauffeur driven by me or someone appointed by me (i.e. someone I know and trust with my life). To explain this slightly differently, I do not hand over the keys and say... Ok I'm over doing it a bit now.
All are mechanically up to the task at hand.

So you want to hire a vintage car for your special occasion but are having difficulty choosing a particular vehicle.
- Don't panic.
- Ask youself a few simple questions and trust that initial impulse i.e. gut feeling. It will never let you down. This I promise. Let me help you get going with those questions :-
- Which vintage car would I like to experience? Not what the rest of the crowd would like to see but what I would like since I am footing the bill.
- What is the colour scheme of my wedding or theme for my function? The vintage MG is white and this may explain it's popularity with weddings and it seems to be everyone's favourite classic car here at weddingsetc.
- We are a large family we don't understand why everyone is starving themselves on bran flakes when there is such a huge variety of truly tasty meals yet to be discovered. Easy one guys, book the 1930 Dodge vintage for your wedding.
- How difficult can it really be to choose between the three classic cars available?
A few other considerations :-
- All Vintage Cars available are charged out at the same rate.
- Unfortunately the Natal Midlands is just to far for these cars to travel. I am willing to travel as far as Pietermaritzburg (inland), Ballito ( KZN North Coast) and Scottburgh ( KZN South Coast)
- No pets allowed in the vintage cars. Sorry, I love the chameleons in the trees outside but .. you know... eh?
- Wedding cars start from R1500-00 in the Upper Highway area (local pick up).
- Classic cars for function such as matric dance where it is just a drop off - prices start at R900.00 in the Upper Highway area i.e. Kearsney College, ST Mary's, Thomas Moore etc.
- The Classic cars cars chauffeur driven by me or someone I trust with my life.When making an online enquiry please provide full details of the transport you require.
When making an online enquiry (see main menu) :-
- Provide me with as much information regarding the travelling route including pick up points and times as well as final drop off and time, as well as any photo shoots. Let meknow when I can expect to make my way home.
- If possible send me an itinerary outlining in detail the information already mentioned above. This will assist both of us in the smooth and quick booking of your vintage car.
- Any decorations for the vintage cars should be provided by you. I don't mind arriving ten minutes earlier in order to place a ribbon on the car. This way there is no dissappointment with the decoration or my interpretation of what may be required

There is still quite a lot to add - i.e. Nchwanning2 mine- Etteringite,Sturmanite, Poldervaartite (lots), Bultfonteinite, Rhodochrosite as well as quite a few Brandberg Quartz, Black Mountain- Morian Smokey Quartz with Hyalite Opal (lots) and some juicy Dioptase specimens - just need to figure out how to photograph them properly. Once I start digging in the boxes I will probably find a lot more that I've forgotten about. The first batch including one totally exquisite Erongo Fluorite and Calcite on Barite with huge Fluorite crystals (latest addition 9 March 2008), is already on display.
